How much does drywall installation cost in Chester County?

How long does a typical drywall project take?
Small repairs are usually finished in a single day. A single room — hang, tape, two coats of mud, sanding, and prime — typically takes 4 to 6 working days. A full basement or whole-home installation runs 1 to 3 weeks depending on size and complexity. Weather and humidity affect dry times, so we build realistic schedules and stick to them.
Do you handle the mess, or do I need to clean up?
We handle it. Every job includes drop cloths over floors and furniture, plastic containment when needed for large installations, HEPA vacuuming, and haul-away of all debris. You should not be cleaning drywall dust after we leave.
Do you serve the Main Line towns — Villanova, Bryn Mawr, Ardmore, Wayne?
Yes. The Main Line is one of our primary service areas. We work regularly in Villanova, Bryn Mawr, Ardmore, Haverford, Wayne, Radnor, and the surrounding Lower Montgomery County communities, as well as King of Prussia.
Are you licensed and insured in Pennsylvania?
Yes. Main Line Drywall operates under Smarter Improvements LLC, a fully registered Pennsylvania Home Improvement Contractor (HIC) with active general liability and workers' compensation insurance. Certificates of insurance are available on request before any project begins.
Do you work with general contractors and builders?
Yes. We sub for general contractors, builders, and remodeling firms across Chester County and the Main Line. We hit deadlines, we hit specs, and we make your finish carpenter's job easier. Trade pricing available.
What's the difference between drywall and plaster, and which do I need?
Most homes built after 1960 have drywall (also called sheetrock or gypsum board). Many older Main Line homes have traditional plaster over wood lath. We work on both, and we can match either finish. For repairs in older homes, we'll usually patch with drywall and feather the finish so it disappears into the surrounding plaster.
